    Phillip LiBassi, FAIA, FACHA, NCARB,  Senior Principal  |  DLR Group

    Phil provides comprehensive, innovative solutions that respond to the client’s ethos and needs. Leveraging his significant health(care) design experience, he is committed to offering partnership and consultation including visioning, process mapping, programming, planning, design, budgeting, and technical expertise. Phil has worked on design solutions for world-renowned healthcare facilities and learning centers – from the Cleveland Clinic and Veterans Administration facilities across the U.S. to leading universities such as The Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University. His projects have been recognized for both technical and design excellence. Phil is a frequent speaker at prestigious healthcare conferences and a contributor to national healthcare publications. He is an adjunct faculty member for the Elliot Program for Health Care Design at Kent State University College of Architecture and Environmental Design.

    Greg Zucca, Director of Economic and Community Transformation  |  MetroHealth System

    Greg Zucca is the Director of Economic and Community Transformation at the MetroHealth System. Greg is responsible for managing and implementing economic and community development projects as part of the $1 billion MetroHealth Campus Transformation initiative. Greg oversees neighborhood investment projects that support the MetroHealth goal to positively impact the overall health and well-being of the community which MetroHealth serves.

    Greg is a certified Development Finance Professional with over 17 years of economic development experience and a unique understanding for place-based economic development. Previously, Greg held positions with the Economic and Community Development Institute (ECDI) as the Vice President of Lending Operations, the City of Cleveland Heights as the Economic Development Director, and the Cuyahoga County Department of Development as the Fund Manager. In these positions, Greg developed and managed small business investment programs and collaborated with public and private institutions to accelerate entrepreneurship and advance community development.

    Greg holds a Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Design and Development from the Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University where he also received his undergraduate degree. Greg is a resident of the Near Westside with his wife and three children. Greg serves on the board of Old Brooklyn Community Development Corporation and volunteers as a coach in the Near West Recreation youth athletic league.

    Joe Kapitan, AIA, NCARB, Director of Design and Construction, Regional / Ambulatory  |  Sodexo USA / University Hospitals

    Joe Kapitan is a registered architect and 31-year veteran of the northeast Ohio design and construction industry. For the past six years, he has focused exclusively on Owner’s Representative work for major healthcare projects. In his current role as Director of Design and Construction for the University Hospitals Regional and Ambulatory network, Joe and his team of four project managers direct the construction efforts at UH’s eleven regional hospitals and hundreds of ambulatory sites across ten counties.
